Hey! I’m Sonia — traveler, trekker, and storyteller at heart.

I was born and raised in Kathmandu, where the Himalayas shaped my idea of adventure. After studying nursing at Rangsit University in Thailand and spending time exploring beaches, jungles, and city streets across Asia, I now split my life between Australia and the open road.
I co-founded Resurgence Travel with my Dad, Tony Roberts, and partner Dave to help travelers experience Asia with heart and purpose.
These days I work as Social Director and occasionally guide trips while helping create practical travel experiences across Asia.
When I’m not on the trail or planning the next journey, you’ll probably find me at the gym, chasing my dog Pepper or cuddling my cat Nugget, or laughing with friends over coffee. I’m endlessly curious, a little fearless, and happiest with sand between my toes or dust on my hiking boots.
